Emergency First Aid

This course is suitable for individuals required to undertake the role of nominated first aider in the workplace. The course will provide information and enable the candidate to develop the skills necessary in order to deal with a range of emergencies in the workplace, in a confident manner.

Course Aims and Objectives:

Course is in line with the requirements laid out in the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.

  • Duty of the First Aider
  • Dealing with Incidents
  • Child, Baby and Adult Basic Life Support (CPR)
  • Child, Baby and Adult Choking
  • How to use a defib (AED)
  • Head, Neck and Back Injuries
  • Unconsciousness and the recovery position
  • Bleeding and Burns
  • Injuries to Bones, Muscles and Joints
  • Seizures and Fitting
