NRSWA Streetworks - Supervisor

The NRSWA Street Works supervisor assessment is aimed at those moving in to a supervisory role. On every live site, for operatives to carry out work there must legally be a Street Works supervisor present. Course available at our partner centres in West Bromwich and Brownhills.

Description

The New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 (NRSWA) sets out the procedures and guidelines for personnel employed by local authorities, utilities companies and their contractors for the purpose of any road works in the highway or on footpaths. The Act and associated Codes of Practice cover issues such as, the notification requirements, safety to highway users and the standards required of the reinstatement of all excavations on the highway, standards for signing, lighting and guarding, etc.

Assessments for NRSWA will cover one or more unit’s dependent on requirements.

Please note: A supervisor qualification does not mean you are qualified to work as an operative. However, if you hold operative and supervisor qualifications, you are able to work as either, or both. Previous experience of working within highways is imperative.
