CITB - Health & Safety Awareness

CITB Health & Safety Awareness course is one of the requirements for obtaining the CSCS green labourer's card Course run at our partner centre in Nechells B7 5AR.

Description

Who is this CITB training course for?
Employees requiring training on health & safety in the workplace or on site, and employees needing to apply for the green CSCS labourer's card. Delegates must be competent in English.
 
Course content includes:
  • Employer’s and employee’s legal responsibilities
  • Accident reporting & emergency procedures
  • Risk assessments
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Manual Handling
  • Working at height
  • Working with electricity
  • Noise & vibration
  • Fire prevention
  • Working in confined spaces
  • COSHH Regulations

Completion of the course:

Delegates will take a short written test. Successful delegates will receive a CITB accredited certificate, and be entered on the CITB Construction Training Register.

Joining Instructions

Venue :  Webbs Training Ltd - unit 1 & 2 Boultbee Business units, Nechells Place, Nechells, Birmingham B7 5AR

Language:

The course and all associated materials will be delivered in English.

Delegates must have a good understanding of spoken and written English. If any delegates have any language issues, please advise us as soon as possible.

 

Adjustments:

Please identify any special requirements delegates may have prior to the course start date, such as learning difficulties, so that our trainer can support during the course.

 

Arrival:

Delegates must arrive at least 15 minutes before the above start time.

Delegates arriving late may not be allowed onto the course, and course places will be chargeable in full. A full charge will also be made for delegates who fail to turn up.

 

Parental Consent:

Any delegates under the age of 18 must have a signed parental consent form. If this applies please contact us before the course, and we shall provide the form for completion.

 

Identification:

Delegates must bring with them photographic and signature identification, without this certification cannot be issued.

 

PPE:

This is classroom based course and no PPE is required.

 

Refreshments:

Hot & cold drinks will be available.

Lunch is not provided.

 

Parking:

There are a limited number of free parking spaces for delegates outside our training centre, these are allocated on a first come first serve basis. There is also free parking available away from our centre, please view the 'centres' page on our website for more site specific information.

 

CITB Grant Claims:

If as an employer you pay the CITB employer's levy, you will be able to claim a grant against this training. As an Approved Training Organization we can process an automatic payment of the grant to you, and we can also upload the delegates' qualifications to the Construction Training Register. For this we need:

 

Employers CITB Registration Number

Delegate(s) date(s) of birth

Delegate(s) National Insurance number(s)

If this applies delegates should bring the details with them to the course, but it is preferable if you can provide them to us before the date of the course.
