CITB - Temporary Works Co-ordinator

Who is the course for? The course is designed to assist those on site who have the responsibility for managing all forms of temporary works.

Description

Course Content Includes:

  • The need for and duties of a Temporary Works Co-Ordinator
  • The role of others
  • BS5975 in respect of this role
  • The importance of Communication, Co-Ordination, Co-Operation and Competency
  • The need for risk management

Completion of the course

Delegates will take a multiple choice question paper. The exam is open book. Successful delegates will receive CITB certification

Joining Instructions

Language:

The course and all associated materials will be delivered in English.

Delegates must have a good understanding of spoken and written English. If any delegates have any language issues, please advise us as soon as possible.

 

Adjustments:

Please identify any special requirements delegates may have prior to the course start date, such as learning difficulties, so that our trainer can support during the course.

 

Arrival:

Delegates must arrive/ long on at least 15 minutes before the above start time.

Delegates arriving late may not be allowed onto the course, and course places will be chargeable in full. A full charge will also be made for delegates who fail to turn up.

 

Identification:

Delegates must bring with them photographic and signature identification, without this certification cannot be issued.

 

e-learning requisite:

The CITB provide a free e-learning course relating to Temporary Works General Awareness, this can be found at: https://ecourses.citb.co.uk/learningprograms/viewprogram/id,18 . This course, including group work and exercises is based around BS5975. It would help delegates to be familiar with this before attending.

 

CITB Grant Claim

If as an employer you pay the CITB employer's levy you will be able to claim a grant against this training. As an Approved Training Organization we can process an automatic payment of the grant to you, and we can also upload the delegates' qualifications to the Construction Training Register. For this we need:

Delegate(s) National Insurance number(s)

 

If this applies delegates should bring the details with them to the course, but it is preferable if you can provide them to us before the date of the course.

PPE:

This is classroom based course, and there is no requirement for delegates to bring PPE.
