Suicide First Aid
Delivered by our experienced suicide prevention trainers, this course teaches the theory and practice of suicide intervention skills that can be applied in any professional or personal setting. The teaching builds skills and knowledge for a greater understanding of the experiences of someone who may be thinking about suicide and the confidence to intervene
Description
SFAUSI is broken down into four easily digestible 90 minute sessions. The programme teaches and practices the skills and knowledge needed to identify someone who may be thinking about suicide and competently intervene to help create suicide-safety as a first aid approach.

Knowledge to spot the signs of someone who may be thinking about suicide.
Confidence to intervene and help create a suicide-safety plan as a first aid approach.
Skills to offer support to someone in distress or who may be experiences suicide thoughts.
Knowledge of helpful and destigmatising language when talking about suicide.
A deep understanding of how you would have a supportive conversation with someone who needs to stay safe from suicide. An understanding of factors that contribute to suicide thoughts.
