This is a CITB accredited 1/2 day course covering all aspects of the use and fitting of abrasive wheels.

This course trains operatives in the correct operation of the Cable Avoiding Tool (CAT) and Signal Generator (Genny). The equipment is used to locate underground cables and services. This Plant Machinery Marshall N133 NPORS certification delivers the necessary skills, knowledge, and understanding to communicate and guide plant machinery safely and effectively. It is for plant operators who require practical and theory-based training and assessment to direct or position plant machinery as part of their daily duties on-site

A slinger Signaller will be the designated individual who will be working alongside the machine operator responsible for lifting loads, for example a crane operator. A Slinger Signaller is responsible for attaching and detaching the load and will be direct its operation and movement. A Slinger Signaller will use hand signals and/or radio links to communicate with the machine operator in order to direct them and ensure that the load is moved safely on site.

This course trains employees in basic scaffold awareness. It deals with traditional tube and fitting scaffolds to the current best practice in the UK, but not system scaffolds.
